ABOUT OUR PATIENTS HELPING PATIENTS NETWORK
Our doctors and our staff are dedicated to educating patients about the science of breast reconstruction. We thoroughly explain and describe all options for breast reconstruction based on our expertise and vast experience. We help you to understand your options in a warm, caring environment and we are committed to enabling you to make your best personal breast reconstruction decision.
However, we recognize that it is also incredibly helpful to include the patient’s perspective. Therefore, we encourage you to reach out to women in our Patients Helping Patients Network to better understand breast reconstruction from the patient experience from women who have actually gone through breast reconstruction, specifically with perforator flaps such as DIEP. Dr. Levine, his expert staff and our Patients Helping Patients Network are all here for you.
We also welcome you to join our Network if, at some time, you too, would like to help another woman with her breast reconstruction.
Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed with questions, concerns and worry. Maybe you’ve spent hours researching and gathering information about all of your options and you still aren’t sure what path may be best for you – or maybe you are somewhere in between. We have patients who have likely felt the same way. And they are here for you.
Many of our former patients have reached out to us and offered their help and support for women who may want to talk about breast reconstruction. As a result, the “Patients Helping Patients Network” was born of an ever-growing group of women. We are truly impressed with their strength, generosity, compassion and sincere desire to “give back” and “pay it forward” with their support and help.
MAKING YOUR DECISION
Through our “Patients Helping Patients Network” you can speak with women who are more than happy to share their experience with you, answer any questions you may have and provide support. Understanding from the patient’s perspective on breast reconstruction may help you to make your own best personal decision. We highly recommend that you reach out.
